Goldenrain tree is a deciduous arbor or shrub, with thick grayish brown to grayish black bark, longitudinal crack in old age, small gray to dark brown lenticel.

There are three municipal-level Class III protected Goldenrain trees in Meishan San Su Shrine Museum.
