As a kind of deciduous tree, Chinese tallow tree is a colorful-leaf tree with brilliant red foliage in spring and autumn, as beautiful as the red Maple. It is a unique economic tree species in China, with a cultivation history of more than 1,400 years.

There is one municipal-level Class III protected Chinese tallow tree in Meishan San Su Shrine Museum.
