Sisso Rose-wood is a kind of calbergia arbor with a height of 10-20 meters; the bark is dark gray and flakes off. Young branches are light green and without pubescence.

There is one municipal-level Class III protected Sisso Rose-wood tree in Meishan San Su Shrine Museum.
