Large-leaved Spicebush is a kind of evergreen tree, 3-15 (25) meters high, with a maximum diameter at breast height of 35 centimeters and grayish-black bark. It has cylindrical, thick, and purple-black branches without pubescence.

There is one municipal-level Class III protected Large-leaved Spicebush tree in Meishan San Su Shrine Museum.
