Pifeng Waterside Pavilion

Pifeng Waterside Pavilion was built in the Southern Song Dynasty. Meizhou people rebuilt this pavilion in Meishan San Su Shrine Museum in memory of Su Shi, Lu You, and Wei Liaoweng in the 24th year during the reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1898). Pifeng Waterside Pavilion is located southwest of Laifeng Pavilion, on the north bank of Ruilian West Pond, facing north. The building has two stories, the lower one being an open pavilion. The building has 16 columns and features a lifting beam structure above, a heavy-eave sloped roof, a barrel tile roof, and a grey roof ridge. The building is square with armchairs set in it. The building has a width of 9 meters, a depth of 9 meters, a height of 10 meters, and a floor area of 131.2 square meters. The main ridge is decorated with ornaments with the shape of the Chinese character Shou (longevity) and curly grass patterns.
