West Chamber

The west chamber is located on the west side of the central axis of Meishan San Su Shrine Museum, built in the eleventh year during the reign of Emperor Jiaqing (1806), with a total area of 321 square meters, and divided into two sections because of a lychee tree on the west side of the Worship Hall in the early Qing dynasty. The north section comprises Kuaiyu Pavilion and Mozhuang Garden. The south section faces the east, with a width of 13.8 meters, a depth of 5.25 meters, and a total height of 5.87 meters. There are corridors in the front and back, with a width of 1.17 meters in the front and 2.35 meters in the back. Meanwhile, it features a beam-lifting structure and a single-eave overhanging small green tile roof. Kuaiyu Pavilion is located in the north section of the west chamber and on the west side of the Worship Hall. It was built in the third year of Emperor Xianfeng's reign (1853). The building faces the east with a width of 9.72 meters, a depth of 4.5 meters, and a width of 0.9 meters. Meanwhile, it is of a column and tie construction and a single-eave overhanging small green tile roof. Mozhuang Garden is located in the north section of the west chamber, on the west side of Sage Hall, facing the east. It has three rooms on the front side, with a width of 11.8 meters, a depth of 9.1 meters, and a total height of 6.71 meters. There are corridors in the front and back, with a width of 2.06 meters in the front and 1.96 meters in the back. It has a cross-tie structure and a single-eave overhanging green tile roof.
