Report on the Maintenance Works of Meishan San Su Shrine Museum in Meishan

After the Wenchuan earthquake on May 12, 2008 and Lushan earthquake on April 20, 2013, Meishan San Su Shrine Museum was severely affected by the disaster, which drew great attention and support from all walks of society. After more than three years of renovation, the post-disaster repairs were fully completed and opened to the public in April 2016. The project was widely recognized and awarded the title of Top 10 Best Heritage Restoration Projects in China. This report covers all aspects of the project: post-earthquake organizational response, disease survey of the main body of the heritage and the surrounding environment, identification of heritage values, construction organization, construction techniques and technologies, project summary, etc., providing a detailed set of repair record for heritage conservation.
